Welcome to Coastal Sunrises!

I've tossed this idea around among several of my fellow bloggers and everyone seems to agree that it's a decent idea. I've also had some contributions , so I'm going to try it. If it sits by itself on a server , somewhere in a basement at a Google owned server farm and nobody ever sees it , I'm OK with that. I have other blogs and plenty to do in my real life , but I think this one needs to be made.

The group of people I have "met" through my other blogs are a great bunch. We all share a love of the outdoors and it's not surprising that we've all developed a loose sense of community. It also never ceases to amaze me how diverse they are and how often they break stereotypes often associated with their sport of choice. The big burly guy in camo? He is a talented writer with a sharp wit who also has an eye for photography. The 30 something mother of two? She 's probably a better shot with a rifle than you or I could ever hope to be and I know she can use a fly rod. It's an interesting bunch.

Where am I heading with this? I'm not really sure , but on almost any fishing related blog you can find a picture of a sunrise or a sunset somewhere. I'm not entirely sure why we all do that , maybe people are drawn to the beauty of the sun as it rises or sets. Maybe it's become a cliche and we feel compelled to take pictures of it. I like to think it's because when fishermen and women are out on the water they are able to see things most people take for granted and appreciate the natural beauty of the sun climbing over the horizon. I'm happy they do and happier still that a lot of them have cameras.

I'm going to start adding a few pictures by the beginning of next week. I'm hoping to have mostly reader/fellow blogger submitted photos. I'll post my own when I have them , but I want sunrises/sunsets from everywhere. Whenever possible , I'll include links to the blogger who allowed me to use his or her picture , so please take a minute to visit their sites as a way of saying thanks.
